AQUALYX® Fat Dissolving Injections

AQUALYX is an injectable, hydrous, micro-gelantuous solution, which is biocompatible and biodegradable. It causes the dissolution of fat cells, after which the body then expels the released fatty acids naturally. It can be used anywhere on the body including, arms, thighs, abdomen and even chin.

What is AQUALYX® Fat Dissolving?

Aqualyx fat dissolving injections are a non-surgical treatment designed to target and eliminate stubborn fat deposits. The injections contain a solution that breaks down fat cells, which are then naturally expelled by the body over time. This treatment is ideal for contouring areas like the chin, thighs, abdomen, and hips, providing a smoother and more defined appearance. Aqualyx is a popular choice for those seeking a minimally invasive alternative to liposuction, with noticeable results and minimal downtime.

How Does Aqualyx Work?

During Aqualyx treatment, the medicine is injected directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue using very thin, sharp cannulas. Within the following weeks the treated fat cells are gradually dissolved and metabolised by the body. The results of Aqualyx are permanent, however, the procedure takes time to reach its full effect. More than 1 session may be needed to gain the best results.

Is This Treatment Right For Me?

Aqualyx is great for those patients who have reached or are close to their target weight but struggling with areas of stubborn fat which have not responded to diet or exercise. It can be great to improve the contour of the body.It can be used for any area on the body, including arms, thighs, abdomen and even the chin.

What To Expect From Your Appointment?

A full consultation takes place to assess what the main concern is. A full assessment is completed to assess the concern and how best to address it and the best method to achieve the desired effect. The procedure, aftercare instructions, and costs are explained to the patient before we begin.

The Procedure

The skin is cleaned thoroughly first before the treatment. Markings are made on the skin for optimal placement of the Aqualyx medicine. The Aqualyx medicine is injected directly into the fatty area of concern. The treatment itself usually takes 10 minutes, but the appointment is 45 minutes – 1 hour to answer all your questions and discuss post operative instructions. The results begin to show after approximately 4 weeks. A second Aqualyx treatment will be organised after 4 -6 weeks, if needed.
