Collagen from within: skin boosters and biostimulators

Not every injectable is about adding volume or relaxing a muscle. A growing part of modern aesthetics is about waking up the skin's own repair systems, and this is where skin boosters and biostimulators come in.

Skin boosters are injected into the surface layers of the skin to deliver deep, lasting hydration. Rather than plumping one area, they improve the overall quality of the skin, so it looks dewier, feels smoother and reflects light more evenly. Popular options in this family draw water into the tissue and, over a course of sessions, encourage the skin to behave younger. Biostimulators take a different route again. Products such as Radiesse and HArmonyCa do add some immediate support, but their real work happens over the following weeks and months. Radiesse is made from calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel. Once injected, it acts as a scaffold that prompts your body to lay down fresh collagen, so the improvement builds gradually and can last well over a year. HArmonyCa is a hybrid product that combines hyaluronic acid for instant smoothing with the same collagen-stimulating action underneath, which makes it a nice choice for restoring firmness along the lower face and jawline.

Not everything at Wellface involves needles or downtime. For an immediate, event-ready glow, I offer Hydrafacial and advanced fusion facials.

Hydrafacial is a multi-step medical facial delivered through a single handpiece. Is there much downtime?

It depends entirely on the treatment. A Hydrafacial has essentially no downtime, so you can go straight back to your day. Injectables may leave small marks or a little swelling for a day or two.
