Meet Rebecca: The Warm Welcome Behind the Front Desk at Wellface
There is a particular moment when you first walk into a clinic. Bag over your shoulder, maybe a little nervous, wondering whether you have the right day and the right time and whether anyone will notice you standing there. At Wellface, the person who tends to notice first is Rebecca. She works front of house across the clinic, and she is very often the first face you see when you push open the door.
Rebecca is also training as a therapist, learning hands-on under Simone, one of our most experienced team members. That combination, the warm welcome at the desk and the growing clinical skill in the treatment room, says something about how Wellface works. We are a doctor-led clinic, and every detail from the greeting to the aftercare call is meant to feel considered. In this piece we wanted to introduce Rebecca properly, and then talk through the treatments she loves most, because they happen to be some of the ones patients ask about again and again.
If you have been curious about Hydrafacial, anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers or Morpheus8, read on. Rebecca rates all four, and there are good reasons why.
The person you meet first
Front of house is easy to underestimate. It looks like answering the phone and offering a glass of water. In practice it sets the tone for the whole visit. A good front of house person reads the room. They can tell the difference between someone who wants to chat and someone who would rather sit quietly with a magazine. They remember that you mentioned your daughter's wedding last time. They notice when a first-time patient is holding their coat a little too tightly and needs a moment of reassurance before anything else happens.
Rebecca does this instinctively. She talks about loving the chance to work alongside a team of "incredible, professional, empowering women", and that energy carries through to how patients are looked after. Feeling comfortable matters more in aesthetics than people sometimes admit. When you are relaxed, you ask better questions. You are honest about your budget and your worries. You leave with a plan you actually understand rather than a treatment you were talked into. A calm arrival is the quiet start of a good result.
There is also the practical side. Front of house keeps the clinic running to time, coordinates between the doctors and therapists, handles the follow-up, and makes sure your notes and consent are in order before you sit in the chair. It is the connective tissue of the place. Rebecca holds a lot of that together with what the team affectionately calls her attention to detail.
Learning the craft, one skill at a time
Becoming a skilled aesthetic therapist is not something that happens over a weekend. It takes proper training, supervised practice and time spent understanding skin rather than just following a protocol. Rebecca is on that path now, learning from Simone, and she describes herself as lucky and grateful for it. She is not wrong to see it that way. Being taught by someone experienced, in a real clinic, with real patients, is the best possible way to learn.
What does that training actually involve? A large part of it is skin health, the foundations that sit underneath any treatment. That means understanding the different layers of the skin, how the barrier works, why hydration and collagen matter, and how factors like sun exposure, sleep and skincare change what you see in the mirror. It means learning to assess a face properly, spotting the difference between fine lines caused by dehydration and lines caused by muscle movement, or between dullness that a facial will fix and pigmentation that needs a more targeted approach.
Then there are the hands-on techniques: how to cleanse and prep, how to use devices safely, how to adjust pressure and timing for different skin types, and how to keep a patient comfortable throughout. Rebecca is combining a genuine love of people with these new skills, and that pairing tends to produce the best therapists. Technical ability gets you accurate treatment. Warmth gets you a patient who trusts the process and comes back.
Rebecca's favourite treatments, and why patients love them too
Ask Rebecca to name a favourite treatment and she cannot pick just one. That is fair. Part of what she enjoys about Wellface is the range on offer and the way treatments can be combined for a better overall result. Here are the ones she keeps coming back to.
Hydrafacial for everyday glow
Hydrafacial is Rebecca's go-to for overall skin health and that fresh, lit-from-within look. It is a medical-grade facial delivered through a device that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one flowing sequence. A vortex tip lifts away dead skin cells and the debris that clogs pores, a gentle acid blend loosens congestion, and then nourishing serums packed with hydrating and antioxidant ingredients are pushed back into the skin.
The appeal is simple. There is no real downtime. Most people walk out with brighter, smoother, plumper-looking skin and head straight back to work or out for the evening. It suits almost every skin type, it is comfortable rather than harsh, and it works beautifully as a regular maintenance treatment. Many patients book it before an event, a wedding, a holiday or a big meeting, because the results show up straight away. Others have it every four to six weeks to keep their skin ticking over. It is one of the easiest ways to start looking after your skin properly.
Anti-wrinkle injections for expression lines
Rebecca also loves what anti-wrinkle injections can do. These treatments use tiny amounts of a purified protein to relax specific facial muscles, softening the lines that form when we frown, raise our eyebrows or squint. The classic areas are the horizontal lines across the forehead, the vertical elevens between the brows, and the crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes.
Done well, the effect is subtle. You still look like you, still able to show expression, just smoother and a little more rested. At Wellface these are always assessed and performed by our doctors, because good injecting is as much about knowing where not to treat as where to. Results usually settle in over a week or two and last around three to four months. It is quick, the appointment is often over in fifteen minutes, and there is little to no downtime beyond the odd small mark that fades quickly.
Dermal fillers for structure and volume
Fillers are another favourite. These are gels based on hyaluronic acid, a substance your body already produces, used to restore volume, refine contours and smooth deeper folds. As we age we lose fat and bone support in the face, which is why cheeks can flatten, the area under the eyes can hollow, and lines around the mouth deepen. Filler, placed thoughtfully, replaces some of that lost support.
The key word is thoughtfully. The best filler work is the kind nobody clocks as filler. It looks like you had a good night's sleep, or like the version of your face from a few years ago. Our doctors take a whole-face view rather than chasing one feature, which is how you avoid the overdone look. Results are visible immediately, though there can be some swelling that settles over a few days, and depending on the product and the area the effect can last from several months to well over a year.
Morpheus8 for firming and texture
The one Rebecca refers to as "Morpheus A", and which is properly called Morpheus8, is a firming and resurfacing treatment that works deeper than a facial can reach. It combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. Fine needles create tiny channels in the skin while delivering heat into the deeper layers, and that controlled warmth prompts the skin to produce fresh collagen and elastin over the following weeks and months.
The result is gradual tightening, improved texture and a smoother, more refined surface. It is popular for the lower face and jawline, for softening acne scarring and enlarged pores, and for that early loss of firmness that creams cannot touch. Expect some redness and a slightly gridded or sandpapery feel for a few days afterwards, then a steady improvement as the collagen builds. Because the results develop over time and continue to improve, many patients have a short course rather than a single session.
How the treatments work together
Rebecca made a point that our doctors make constantly: the magic is often in the combination. No single treatment does everything. Skin health, muscle movement, volume and firmness are four different problems, and the most natural-looking results usually come from addressing them together rather than relying on one thing.
A typical example might pair regular HydraFacials for glow and skin quality, a touch of anti-wrinkle treatment to soften expression lines, and Morpheus8 to firm the lower face, with filler used sparingly where genuine volume has been lost. That is not a menu everyone needs. The right plan for you depends on your skin, your age, your priorities and your budget, which is exactly what a consultation is for. During that appointment one of our doctors will assess your face properly, explain what would and would not help, and be honest if the answer is that you need less than you think.
Common questions about visiting Wellface
Do I have to book a treatment when I come in?
No. Your first visit can simply be a consultation. Many people come in unsure of what they want or need, and that is completely normal. Rebecca and the team will make you comfortable, and one of our doctors will talk you through the options with no pressure to commit to anything on the day.
Will someone explain everything before I decide?
Yes. As a doctor-led clinic we treat consent and understanding as part of the treatment, not a formality. You will be told how a treatment works, what to expect afterwards, how long results last and what it costs before anything begins. If a treatment is not right for you, we will say so.
Which treatment should I start with?
For most people new to aesthetics, a Hydrafacial or a skin-focused consultation is a gentle, low-commitment place to begin. It improves your skin straight away and gives you a chance to get to know the clinic. From there, if you want to explore anti-wrinkle injections, fillers or Morpheus8, your practitioner can build a plan at your pace.
Is there much downtime?
It depends entirely on the treatment. Hydrafacial and anti-wrinkle injections have little to none, and most people carry on with their day. Fillers can cause some short-lived swelling or bruising. Morpheus8 involves a few days of redness and a rough texture as the skin recovers. We will always tell you what to plan around before you book.
Which clinic will I be seen at?
Wellface has branches in Cobham, Esher and Wimbledon, so you can choose whichever is most convenient for you. The same standards of care and the same warm welcome apply at each.
