Planning Your Eid Glow: Why Booking Your Treatments Now Makes All the Difference
Ramadan Mubarak to everyone marking the month, whether you're fasting or not. It's a busy, meaningful few weeks, and for a lot of my patients it ends with a celebration they want to look and feel their best for. Eid arrives roughly 29 or 30 days after the start of Ramadan, which sounds like plenty of time. In practice, it goes quickly, and the treatments that give the most natural results are the ones that need a little runway.
That's the heart of the message from our latest reel. If you want fresh, glowing skin, a well-rested face and hair that feels healthy for Eid, the smartest thing you can do is plan now rather than in the final week. Some of the most-loved treatments, Profhilo among them, work gradually and are given across more than one appointment. Others settle over a few days once you've had them. Leave it too late and you're either chasing an appointment that no longer exists or booking something that won't have peaked in time.
Below I've mapped out how the most popular pre-Eid treatments actually work, how long each one needs to look its best, and how to sequence them so everything comes together for the day itself. Think of it as a countdown you can plan around, whether you're after a single facial or a proper refresh from skin to scalp.
Why timing matters more than most people expect
Aesthetic treatments aren't all instant. Some give you an immediate lift, others reveal their best results a week or two later, and a few are designed to build over a course. Knowing which is which is the difference between arriving at Eid looking radiant and arriving mid-way through a process, when your skin might still be settling.
There's also the practical side. Ramadan and the run-up to Eid are one of our busiest windows, and the diary fills from the front. The appointments closest to Eid go first, so the patients who plan early get the slots that suit their timeline, not just whatever is left. Booking ahead means you can space a course properly, allow a comfortable buffer before the celebration, and avoid having anything done so last-minute that a little swelling or redness is still visible on the day.
If you take one thing from this, let it be this: work backwards from Eid. Decide what you'd like, check how long that treatment needs to look its best, and book so the final result lands a few days before, not on the morning of.
Profhilo and the bio-remodelling course
Profhilo is one of the treatments I mention most when patients ask what will give them that lit-from-within look for a big occasion. It's an injectable made from a very high concentration of hyaluronic acid, but it behaves differently from a traditional filler. Rather than adding volume to one area, it spreads through the skin to hydrate deeply and stimulate your own collagen and elastin. The result is firmer, bouncier, better-quality skin across the face, often described as a glow rather than a change in shape.
The catch, and the reason I'm flagging it now, is that Profhilo works as a course. The standard protocol is two sessions spaced about four weeks apart. Results build gradually over the following weeks as the skin remodels, with many people seeing the best of it around eight weeks after the first appointment. Do the maths against a 30-day countdown and you can see why the first Profhilo appointment ideally happens early in Ramadan, not in the last fortnight.
If you start now, there's time to fit in both sessions and let the second one settle before Eid. Leave it late and you may only manage one treatment, which still helps but won't give you the full effect a proper course delivers. For skin that looks genuinely refreshed rather than freshly treated, Profhilo rewards the people who plan ahead.
Hydrafacial for an immediate, camera-ready glow
Not everything needs weeks. Hydrafacial is the treatment to reach for when you want visible radiance quickly, and it's a lovely option for the days just before Eid. It's a multi-step facial that cleanses, gently exfoliates, extracts congestion and then floods the skin with hydrating serums and antioxidants, all in one relaxing session. There are no needles and no real downtime.
Most people walk out with skin that looks brighter, smoother and more even straight away, which is exactly why it's such a popular pre-event pick. Makeup sits better afterwards and the skin feels clean and plump rather than tight. Because there's essentially no recovery, you can have a Hydrafacial a day or two before Eid and enjoy the results on the day.
That said, it's not only a last-minute fix. If your skin has been dull, dehydrated or a little congested over winter, a Hydrafacial earlier in the month sets a healthy base, and a second one closer to Eid tops up the glow. It also pairs neatly with the slower treatments: many of my patients have their Profhilo course through Ramadan and then finish with a Hydrafacial in the final week for that extra polish.
Keravive for the scalp and hair
Skin gets most of the attention before an occasion, but the scalp is skin too, and it's often overlooked. We're pleased to be adding Hydrafacial Keravive at our Cobham clinic, a treatment designed specifically to cleanse, exfoliate and nourish the scalp using the same gentle Hydrafacial technology adapted for the head.
Keravive works in a few stages. Light suction and exfoliation lift away product build-up, excess oil and dead skin from around the follicles, then a peptide and growth-factor serum is delivered to the scalp to hydrate and support healthier-looking hair. It's a comfortable, relaxing treatment rather than anything invasive. Patients who deal with dryness, flaking, itchiness or hair that has been feeling thin and tired often find it makes the scalp feel noticeably fresher and more balanced.
For the best results, I usually recommend Keravive as a short course, often monthly for around three months, alongside a take-home scalp spray to use between sessions. So while a single treatment before Eid will leave your scalp feeling clean and cared for, this is another one where starting early lets you get more from it. If healthy hair is part of your Eid preparation, it's worth booking your first session sooner rather than later.
Anti-wrinkle treatment and lip filler: allow for settling time
Injectable treatments like anti-wrinkle injections and lip filler come up a lot before Eid, and both need a sensible buffer built into your plan.
Anti-wrinkle injections
Anti-wrinkle treatment relaxes the muscles responsible for expression lines across areas like the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes. The important thing to know for timing is that it doesn't work instantly. You'll typically start to notice a softening after a few days, with the full effect visible around two weeks in. Occasionally a small top-up is needed at a review appointment, which adds a little more time again.
For Eid, that means booking at least two to three weeks ahead so everything has settled and looks its natural best. Having it done days before the celebration is a false economy, because you may not see the smoothing you were hoping for until well after the event.
Lip filler
Lip filler gives more immediate results in terms of shape and volume, but lips are prone to swelling and occasional light bruising in the first few days. That settles as the filler integrates, and the true, softened result usually shows within about two weeks. I'd always suggest allowing a couple of weeks before an occasion so any initial puffiness has resolved and you're seeing the finished look, not the freshly treated one.
The overall rule for injectables is the same as for everything else: earlier is better. A treatment that's fully settled always looks more natural than one that's still finding its feet.
How to sequence it all for Eid
Putting it together is simpler than it sounds once you think in terms of a countdown. As a rough guide, the treatments that build over time or need settling belong at the start of the month, and the instant-glow treatments belong at the end.
- Early in Ramadan: begin any course-based treatments such as Profhilo or your first Keravive session, and book anti-wrinkle injections or lip filler so they have two to three weeks to settle.
- Mid-month: attend your second Profhilo session and any review appointments, keeping everything on track.
- The final week before Eid: finish with a Hydrafacial for immediate radiance, and add a top-up facial treatment if your skin would benefit.
Fasting patients sometimes ask whether Ramadan affects treatments. For facials and skin treatments there's no issue at all. If you're having injectables and prefer to stay well hydrated beforehand, we're happy to arrange appointments for the evening after you've broken your fast, or at a time that fits comfortably around your day. Just let me know when you book and we'll work around you.
Common questions about Eid treatment planning
How far in advance should I book before Eid?
For anything that works as a course or needs settling time, ideally in the first week or two of Ramadan. Profhilo in particular benefits from starting early because it's given as two sessions four weeks apart and keeps improving for weeks afterwards. Instant treatments like a Hydrafacial can be booked closer to the day, but the appointments nearest Eid go quickly, so it's still wise to reserve your slot early.
Which treatment gives the fastest visible glow?
Hydrafacial is the go-to for immediate radiance with no downtime. You'll usually see brighter, smoother, more hydrated skin the same day, which makes it ideal for the final few days before Eid. It also layers beautifully on top of a Profhilo course for an extra lift.
Can I have treatments while I'm fasting?
Yes. Facials and skin treatments are completely fine during fasting hours. If you're having injectables and want to be well hydrated first, we can schedule your appointment for after you've broken your fast. Mention it when you get in touch and we'll find a time that suits.
Is one Profhilo session enough before Eid?
A single session will give you some improvement, but the full bio-remodelling effect comes from completing the course of two treatments and allowing them to develop. That's exactly why I encourage patients to start early, so both sessions and the settling time fit comfortably before the celebration.
What if I've left it late?
Don't panic. There's almost always something worthwhile I can do, even in the final week, with a Hydrafacial being the obvious choice for a quick, healthy glow. Get in touch as soon as you can and I'll recommend the treatment that will give you the best result in the time available.
Reserve your pre-Eid slot at Wellface
Eid has a way of arriving sooner than expected, and the diary tends to reflect that. If you'd like your skin, hair and features looking their best for the day, the kindest thing you can do for yourself is to plan now and let each treatment do its work properly. I'll talk you through the right combination for your skin and your timeline, and map it against the countdown so nothing is rushed.
You can book a consultation with me at our Cobham, Esher or Wimbledon clinics, and if you have questions about which treatments suit you, or how to time them around fasting, I'm glad to help. Ramadan Mubarak from all of us, and I look forward to seeing you before Eid.
