Two Years in Cobham: A Milestone, a Matcha Morning and What Comes Next

YT Dr Yasmin Tayeb Published 23 May 2026 · 9 min read

Two years. That is how long the doors have been open at our Cobham clinic, and it has flown by in the best possible way. When Wellface first arrived in Surrey, my idea was simple: build a doctor-led aesthetics clinic that felt more like being looked after by a trusted friend who happens to be a medical professional, and less like a transaction. Two years on, thousands of appointments later, that idea has grown into something we are genuinely proud of.

To mark the anniversary, we did what felt most like us. We opened the doors, put the kettle on, whisked up something a little greener than the usual builder's brew, and invited our community in for a Matcha Morning. No hard sell, no pressure, just a chance to sit down together, meet the team and say thank you properly. It was a huge success, and honestly, the warmth in the room said everything about why this clinic exists in the first place.

This post is a small love letter to the last two years, and a look at what is coming. Because while we are celebrating Cobham, we are also busy planning our third location in London, alongside our existing homes in Esher and Wimbledon. There is a lot more to come.

Two years of a doctor-led vision in Cobham

Opening a clinic is one thing. Keeping the standards high, appointment after appointment, is another entirely. The thing I am proudest of is not the number of treatments we have carried out, but the trust that sits behind each one. People come to us at their most vulnerable, often nervous, sometimes after a poor experience elsewhere, and they leave feeling more like themselves. That is the whole job.

None of it happens without the team. The doctors and staff at Cobham are the ones who carry every patient from the first hello to the final follow-up, and they do it with a care that cannot be faked. A good result on the day matters, of course, but so does the phone call a week later to check how you are healing, the honest advice when a treatment is not right for you, and the calm reassurance when you are sitting in the chair wondering whether you have made the right choice. That consistency is what turns a first visit into a ten-year relationship.

Cobham itself has been the perfect home. It is a community that values quality and discretion, and that suits how we like to work. Over two years I have watched patients bring their friends, their mothers, their daughters and occasionally their rather sceptical partners, which is usually the biggest compliment of all. When someone trusts you enough to send the people they love, you know you are doing something right.

Why a Matcha Morning, and why community events matter

You might reasonably ask why an aesthetics clinic is handing out matcha rather than simply running an offer. The answer is that I have never wanted Wellface to feel purely clinical. Skin and confidence are personal subjects, and the best conversations about them happen when nobody feels rushed or sold to.

A morning like this gives people the chance to walk through the door with zero commitment. You can meet the doctors, ask the questions you have been quietly Googling at midnight, and get a feel for the place before you ever sit in a treatment chair. Some guests come knowing exactly what they want. Others come simply because a friend invited them and they were curious. Both are equally welcome, and both usually leave with a clearer, calmer understanding of what is actually worth doing for their skin, and what is not.

There is also something to be said for the social side. Aesthetics can feel like a slightly secretive world, spoken about in hushed tones. I would rather it were open, friendly and a little bit fun. A relaxed morning with good company and a warm drink does more to demystify treatments than any brochure ever could. This will not be the last event of its kind. We are planning many more mornings where you can come in, meet the team, and get to know what we are about.

What "doctor-led" actually means for you

The phrase gets used a lot in this industry, so it is worth explaining what it means in practice at Wellface, because it changes the entire experience.

Every treatment here is carried out or overseen by a qualified medical doctor. That includes me, as the doctor who founded the clinic, alongside Dr Yosra Albeyatti, Dr Amina Albeyatti, Dr Bianca Coveva, Dr Olivia McCormack and Dr Hannah Sunley. Medical training matters in aesthetics for reasons that are not always obvious from the outside. It means a proper understanding of facial anatomy, of where blood vessels and nerves sit, and of how to manage the rare occasions when something does not go to plan. It means being able to say no when a requested treatment would not suit you, rather than simply taking the booking.

A consultation first, always

Good aesthetics starts with an honest conversation, not a needle. A consultation is where I listen to what is bothering you, look at your face as a whole rather than a single line or crease, and talk through the realistic options. Sometimes that means a treatment. Sometimes it means waiting, adjusting your skincare, or doing far less than you expected. The aim is never to change how you look into someone else's face. It is to help you look like a rested, healthy version of yourself.

Results that do not announce themselves

The house style at Wellface leans towards the natural. The best outcomes, in my view, are the ones nobody can quite put their finger on. Friends notice you look well, ask if you have been on holiday, and never guess you have had anything done. Achieving that quietly beautiful result takes restraint and skill, which is exactly why the medical background of the team matters so much.

The range of treatments under one roof

Part of the reason patients stay with us is that we can look after almost everything in one place, and tailor a plan across several treatments rather than pushing a single solution. Our menu spans injectables, energy-based devices and skin health, and the right choice depends entirely on your skin, your goals and your lifestyle.

On the injectable side we offer anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, Profhilo, polynucleotides, skin boosters and Aquagold, along with Aqualyx for stubborn pockets of fat and PRP using your own blood to stimulate renewal. For skin quality and resurfacing, we work with Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling, BBL Hero and MOXI from the same laser family, and the Secret Pro platform for CO2 laser and deeper resurfacing. For regular skin maintenance there is Hydrafacial, traditional microneedling, medical skin peels and a carefully chosen range of medical-grade skincare to use at home.

That breadth is deliberate. Skin ageing is rarely caused by one thing, so treating it well often means combining approaches. A little collagen stimulation here, a resurfacing treatment there, the right products in between. Having doctors who understand how these treatments interact, and in what order, is what turns a collection of individual procedures into a genuine plan.

Growing into London, without losing what makes us us

The most exciting news is that Cobham is not the end of the story. We are preparing to launch our third location in London, joining Cobham, Esher and Wimbledon. It is a big step, and one we have thought carefully about.

The challenge with growing is always the same. How do you reach more people without diluting the very thing that made patients trust you in the first place? For us the answer is to keep the model identical wherever we go: doctor-led, consultation-first, natural results and a team that treats you like a person rather than a slot in a diary. The new location will bring more community mornings, more familiar faces and, I hope, the same feeling that Cobham has built over two years. If you have supported us so far, this next chapter is genuinely thanks to you.

Common questions about visiting Wellface

Do I need a treatment booked to come to an event?

Not at all. Our community mornings are open, relaxed occasions designed for exactly this. You are welcome to come along, meet the doctors and team, have a look around and ask questions, with no obligation to book anything. Many people use these events simply to decide whether Wellface feels right for them before committing to a consultation.

What happens at a first consultation?

Your first visit is a conversation. I talk through what is bothering you, review your medical history, and assess your face as a whole. From there I explain the realistic options, including doing nothing if that is genuinely the best advice. You will never be pressured into treatment on the day, and you are always free to go away and think it over.

Will my results look obvious?

That is precisely what I work hardest to avoid. The Wellface approach favours subtle, natural-looking outcomes that refresh rather than transform. Our doctors would rather do a little less and keep you looking like yourself than chase a dramatic change that reads as "done".

Which clinic should I book into?

We have branches in Cobham, Esher and Wimbledon, with a London location on the way. You are welcome at whichever is most convenient for you, and the standard of care is the same across all of them, because it is the same team and the same philosophy behind each one.

How do I stay in the loop about future events?

Keep an eye on our channels. There is a lot coming from Wellface, including more community mornings and news about our third location, so following along is the easiest way to hear about the next gathering first.

Come and see us for yourself

Two years in, the thing I keep coming back to is gratitude. To every patient who has walked through the Cobham doors, trusted us with their face and their confidence, and told a friend afterwards, thank you. To the team who hold the standards high every single day, thank you. This milestone belongs to all of you.

If you have been curious about a treatment, unsure where to start, or simply want to meet the doctors before deciding anything, I would love to welcome you. Book a consultation with me at Wellface in Cobham, Esher or Wimbledon, come with your questions, and let us talk honestly about what would genuinely suit you. Here is to the next two years, and everything still to come.
