How BroadBand Light works

BBL Hero, short for BroadBand Light High Energy Rapid Output, uses Sciton’s advanced pulsed light to gently warm the upper layers of the skin. The clever part is selectivity: problem areas absorb the targeted heat, which triggers the skin’s own healing response. Pigmentation and sun damage clear, redness calms and collagen production is stimulated, so tone and texture improve together rather than one at the expense of the other. It is a comfortable treatment, suitable for nearly all skin types and a range of skin tones.

Three protocols, one machine

Part of what makes BBL Hero so useful is that it is really three treatments sharing a handpiece, and your practitioner chooses between them at consultation:

• Forever Flawless, for freckles, pigmentation, rosacea and redness, leaving skin softer and smoother
• Forever Young, clinically shown to keep skin behaving younger, with twice-yearly maintenance sessions
• Forever Clear, a three-step acne protocol: blue light for bacteria, yellow light for inflammation, infrared to help prevent scarring

What a session feels like

You wear protective eyewear while a cooling handpiece keeps everything comfortable, and the pulses of light pass over the skin for 15 to 30 minutes depending on the area. Most people describe a warm sensation that is generally well tolerated rather than anything to brace for. We set aside 30 to 45 minutes for the appointment, and your first visit includes a full 45-minute consultation so the right protocol is chosen before any light touches your skin.

Results on a realistic timeline

Visible improvements often appear within a week, with optimal results developing over two to four weeks as the skin completes its renewal. For rejuvenation we usually plan a course of three to four sessions spaced a month apart, followed by twice-yearly Forever Young maintenance. Downtime is minimal: mild redness or a slight darkening of treated pigmentation settles within hours to days, and most clients return to normal activities immediately.

Beyond the face

Sun rarely confines its damage to the face, and neither do we. Face and neck, or décolletage and hands, are common combinations, with add-on body areas priced by size: small areas such as the hands at £250, medium areas such as the décolletage at £350 and large areas such as the back or arms at £500 per session. If several body areas are involved, a package price is discussed at your appointment, and body-only treatments carry a 50% surcharge on the add-on prices.

Wellface Cobham sits in the heart of the village with parking nearby, and a BBL session takes just 15 to 30 minutes, so treatment slots neatly between the coffee run and the school pick-up. Evening appointments run until 8pm from Monday to Thursday, with Saturdays until 5pm.
