How PRP works

A small sample of your blood is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, the cells your body dispatches to heal. Returned to your skin, they release growth factors that stimulate collagen, accelerate repair and rebuild skin quality from within. For skin, the plasma is most often delivered with micro-needling, whose micro-channels carry the growth factors deep into the tissue, the pairing sometimes called the vampire facial. Numbing cream keeps it comfortable, and most clients feel mild pressure rather than pain.

The appointment, start to finish

Allow 30 to 45 minutes. Your visit opens with an unhurried conversation about your skin and what you want from it, followed by the blood sample, which spins in the centrifuge while your numbing cream takes effect. The plasma is then placed, most often via micro-needling, and you leave with clear aftercare and a review booked for four to six weeks. PRP with micro-needling is £475, the same price as our other clinics, with consultation and review included.
