How Dr Yasmin explains it

Ask Dr Yasmin how Radiesse works and she will describe two stages. Radiesse, made by Merz Aesthetics, is calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in a gel. The gel gives immediate support. The microspheres act as a scaffold that stimulates your own collagen over time, and as the gel is gradually absorbed, it is your own collagen that remains. Radiesse®+ also contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic. That second, slower stage is the point: the treatment is less about adding something to your face and more about prompting your skin to rebuild.
