Sculptra in Esher, every session with Dr Yasmin.
Sculptra® collagen stimulation with Dr Yasmin Tayeb at our Esher injectables clinic on the High Street. One doctor planning, placing and reviewing a course that unfolds over months.
A slow treatment, in one doctor’s care
Wellface Esher is Dr Yasmin Tayeb’s own clinic room, inside The FIT Partnership at 50 High Street, and every appointment here is with her personally. For Sculptra®, that continuity is not a nicety; it is half the point. A course unfolds over months, the change arrives gradually, and the decisions about when to add, when to wait and when to stop are best made by the person who saw your face before it began. A Bristol-trained dentist whose facial anatomy experience comes from years in London hospitals including St George’s, she founded Wellface on natural-first results, and Sculptra fits that approach closely, because the change it prompts is made by your own collagen.
In Dr Yasmin’s words: a pure biostimulator
Sculptra is made by Galderma from poly-L-lactic acid, a biodegradable material that prompts your body to lay down its own collagen over the weeks and months after treatment. Dr Yasmin describes it as “a pure biostimulator”, because it adds no instant volume at all. Any fullness you notice afterwards is fluid and swelling, and it settles. What follows, for suitable patients, is a gradual and diffuse improvement in volume, firmness and skin thickness: the kind of change people sense rather than spot, which is exactly the standard she built Wellface around.
Why one doctor suits a long course
Galderma describes a typical course as around three sessions spaced over several months, and at Wellface the number of sessions and vials is personalised at consultation. In Esher, every one of those visits is with Dr Yasmin. She holds your photographs and notes, remembers how your skin responded last time, and judges each next step against where you started rather than against a stranger’s file. With a treatment that builds this slowly, nothing matters more than the same eyes assessing it throughout, which is why the review included with your treatment is with her too.
Your appointment in Esher
Allow about 45 minutes. The visit begins as a conversation about what has changed in your face and what you would like to avoid, and if Sculptra is right for you the treatment may sometimes go ahead the same day. Afterwards, swelling, tenderness, bruising, redness or itching can occur. If she advises it, Dr Yasmin may prescribe a short massage routine, commonly five minutes, five times a day, for five days, and you should avoid excessive sun while any redness and swelling settle. Rare vascular complications are possible with facial injectables, and she follows established emergency protocols.
Also available in Esher
Esher is deliberately a small, injectables-only clinic. Alongside Sculptra, Dr Yasmin personally offers:
- Radiesse, calcium hydroxylapatite that supports and stimulates collagen
- PROFHILO, the injectable moisturiser for whole-face skin quality
- Dermal fillers and lip fillers, placed conservatively for balance
- Anti-wrinkle treatment and PRP
Skin, laser and facial treatments run at our Cobham clinic, a ten-minute drive away. Sculptra itself is also available with our other doctors in Cobham and Wimbledon if the Esher diary cannot fit yours.
Who Sculptra suits
Sculptra suits people who want gradual, diffuse improvement rather than a sharp change: facial volume that has softened over the years, firmness that has slipped, skin that has lost some of its thickness. It is not a lip treatment, and because it is not hyaluronic acid it cannot be dissolved in the way a hyaluronic acid filler can, which is why Dr Yasmin plans it carefully and never on impulse. If she thinks your face would be better served by filler, PROFHILO or nothing yet, she will say so. A consultation in Esher carries no obligation beyond an honest opinion.
Price, vials and how long it lasts
Sculptra is £500 per vial, the same as at our other clinics. Dr Yasmin plans the number of vials with you at consultation, and from the fourth vial onwards additional vials are discounted, so a fuller course is costed fairly. Results can last around two years, with individual variation; Galderma’s studies followed patients for about 25 months. For many people that horizon is the real appeal: a course completed over several months, then reviewed rather than endlessly repeated, with the same doctor keeping an eye on it throughout.
Your own collagen, rebuilt
Sculptra is a regenerative biostimulator made by Galderma. Instead of filling a line, its poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) microparticles prompt your skin to rebuild its own collagen and elastin, working across all three layers of the skin. Here is how a course at Wellface Esher works on your skin.
Placed
Your doctor places PLLA microparticles in the deeper layers of the skin, exactly where your plan needs support.
Recognised
Your skin answers with a gentle, controlled renewal response and fibroblasts begin making new collagen.
Rebuilt
Galderma’s studies show type I collagen up by 66.5% at three months, with elastin stimulated too.
Renewed
The PLLA is absorbed naturally over the following months, leaving your own firmer tissue in place.
From our twenties collagen falls by around 1% a year. The surface thins, the dermis loses firmness and elasticity, and the deepest layer loses the support that holds volume.
PLLA has been used in medicine since the 1960s and in dissolvable stitches since the 1970s. Sculptra was first approved in Europe in 1999 and is used in more than 40 countries.
Galderma reports results lasting more than two years. In its survey two years after treatment, 89% of patients said their results looked natural and 92% felt more confident.

Pricing for Sculptra
Sculptra is priced per vial. How many you need depends on the areas treated and the change you want, and your doctor plans this with you at consultation. Additional vials are discounted from the fourth vial onwards.
