Why nine, and when it is ten
Dr Yasmin’s score is about fit as much as product. SKINVIVE is designed to improve skin quality, meaning hydration, smoothness and radiance, rather than shape, so it earns its full marks in the patient whose main concern is dry, dull or crepey skin that has lost its glow. For someone whose real concern is lost volume or deep lines, a different treatment may serve them better. That honesty is the point of her consultation: she will tell you which group you are in before anything is planned.
What SKINVIVE is
SKINVIVE is a hyaluronic acid injectable skin booster made by Allergan Aesthetics, previously known in the UK as JUVÉDERM VOLITE. It is placed as tiny microdroplets within the skin, usually across the cheeks, and is lightly cross-linked so it integrates with the tissue rather than holding a shape as a filler would. The gel contains lidocaine, and numbing cream is usually applied first. Results build over the following days and weeks and generally last up to around six months, with the manufacturer reporting hydration benefits for up to nine.
One doctor, start to finish
In Esher there is no rota and no handover. Dr Yasmin holds your consultation, places your treatment and sees you again at your included review, so the person judging your result is the person who planned it. Afterwards you may notice small raised injection points, redness or a bruise for a short time; most people carry on as normal, avoiding heavy make-up, intense exercise and heat for the first day or so.

Calm, careful and honest about risk
SKINVIVE is a medical treatment, and Dr Yasmin treats it as one. As with any injectable, rare vascular complications exist, and she has emergency protocols in place. There is no published price for SKINVIVE yet, so she confirms yours at consultation once your plan is agreed, and a £75 deposit secures your booking. If she believes your skin does not need SKINVIVE, or would be better served by something else entirely, she will tell you exactly that.
