Three Aesthetics Red Flags on Social Media You Should Never Scroll Past
Social media makes aesthetics look easy, but not every offer is safe. Dr Bianca Coveva picks out three red flags she sees every day, from dissolving and refilling lips in one visit to treatments in a kitchen and suspiciously cheap anti-wrinkle deals, and explains what genuinely safe, doctor-led treatment involves.
Transcript
The three red flags I see about the aesthetics industry on social media every single day. Number one has got to be dissolving and refilling lips on the same day. It just doesn't work and it's going to cause more harm than good.
Number two has got to be having treatment in someone's kitchen or even worse in the backseat of their car. So dangerous. Infection control?
Where? And number three has got to be advertising three areas of anti-wrinkle treatment for £90. If it's too good to be true, no.
If it sounds too good to be true, then it absolutely is. It's only going to cause you harm using fake unlicensed products. So be wary and stay safe.
