Thinking About Lip Filler? Your Chin Might Be the Real Answer

So many of you come to see us asking for lip filler, but most of you actually need chin filler, and I'm going to explain why. I'm Bianca, I'm a dentist with an interest in aesthetics, and I see this so often. A lot of the times when patients come in asking for lip filler, it's because their chin is too small and their face isn't properly balanced.

When we perfectly balance the chin, the profile comes into harmony and the lips look fuller naturally. Also, if you have a weak chin, the chin muscle becomes overactive. The overactive chin muscle causes it to clench and dimple, which also makes your chin look smaller and pulls down on your lip.

And the final reason why you might need chin filler is because you may be a mouth breather because your lower jaw is too small. When we breathe with our mouths overnight, it can cause a lot of issues for our sleep. So by elongating the chin, we get better lip support and we actually encourage nasal breathing during sleep.
