AQUALYX fat dissolving in Wimbledon

Precision for the pockets exercise ignores

Wimbledon does not lack discipline. Our SW19 clients run the Common, make the gym before work and still arrive describing the same frustration: one localised pocket, usually under the chin or on the abdomen, that ignores all of it. That is not a willpower problem, it is a fat-cell problem, and AQUALYX addresses it directly. A doctor injects the solution into the pocket itself, the fat cells break down, and the body clears them for good over the following weeks. No surgery, no theatrics, and a course that books neatly around a working diary.

Doctor-led treatment in progress at Wellface Wimbledon

The science, briefly

AQUALYX is a water-based solution of deoxycholic acid. Injected directly into a stubborn pocket, it breaks down the walls of the fat cells, releasing their contents to be processed and cleared naturally by the body over the weeks that follow. Because the cells themselves are destroyed rather than emptied, the change is permanent: once cleared, those fat cells are gone for good. It is a genuinely different mechanism from dieting, which shrinks fat cells but never removes them, and it is the reason results hold.

Chin first, usually

The double chin is the most requested area in Wimbledon, and it is easy to understand why. It sits in every profile photo and video call, it is largely indifferent to weight, and it responds particularly well to treatment at £450 per session. The abdomen is the other favourite, with the flanks, inner thighs and knees also treatable. Whatever the area, the principle is identical: a localised pocket, mapped by a doctor, treated directly, and cleared by your own body on a predictable timetable.

Planning a course around a diary

Most areas need two to four sessions, spaced about four weeks apart, with the plan agreed at your consultation rather than improvised along the way. Appointments run 30 to 45 minutes and evening slots are available until 8pm from Monday to Thursday, so a full course can run its length without ever touching a working day. Each treatment includes a review four weeks later, and our concierge team will happily book the whole sequence in one go so the rhythm looks after itself.

What recovery really looks like

Be prepared for swelling and tenderness in the treated area for a few days after each session, with redness or bruising possible for up to a week. The swelling is a sign the treatment is working as the fat cells break down, but it is real, and worth scheduling with open eyes: treat ahead of a quiet fortnight rather than a wedding weekend. Your doctor will be specific about what your chosen area involves, because an accurate forecast is worth more than a comfortable one.

Not a weight-loss plan, and proudly so

AQUALYX suits clients at a stable weight with localised, stubborn pockets, and that is the honest boundary of the treatment. It is not an alternative to diet or exercise and it is not a tool for overall weight loss; a doctor who suggests otherwise is selling rather than advising. Ours will assess your area, tell you plainly whether it will respond, and decline to treat if it will not. Permanence is the reward for that honesty: keep your weight stable and the cleared pockets stay cleared.

Doctor-led, station-close

Every AQUALYX treatment in Wimbledon is performed by Dr Yasmin Tayeb, Dr Yosra Albeyatti or Dr Hannah Sunley. Dr Yosra leads the clinic, and the doctor who maps your pocket at consultation is the doctor who treats it at every session and judges it at review. The clinic sits on Wimbledon Hill Road, a short walk from the station, which turns a multi-session course from a logistical project into a small recurring appointment on the way home. Consistency of doctor, and of postcode, both count.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Body areas are £400 per treatment area, or £1,000 for three areas, and the chin is £450 per treatment. Most areas need two to four sessions, and every treatment includes consultation and a four-week review.

Because that is how long the body needs to clear the broken-down fat cells. Sessions are spaced about four weeks apart for the same reason, so each review shows real progress before the next step.

Yes. The Wimbledon clinic runs appointments until 8pm from Monday to Thursday, and until 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays, so a course fits around work rather than instead of it.

Swelling and tenderness for a few days after each session, sometimes with redness or bruising for up to a week. The swelling is a sign the treatment is working as the fat cells break down.

No. Once the body has cleared the treated fat cells they are gone for good. Maintaining a stable weight is what keeps the result looking exactly as it did at your final review.

The double chin and abdomen are the most popular, with the flanks, inner thighs and knees also treated. AQUALYX is for localised, stubborn pockets rather than large areas.

Always a doctor: Dr Yasmin Tayeb, Dr Yosra Albeyatti or Dr Hannah Sunley. The same doctor plans your course, performs every session and assesses your reviews.

We are at 44 Wimbledon Hill Road, SW19 7PA, a short walk up the hill from Wimbledon station and its National Rail, District line and tram connections.
