Tear trough filler in Wimbledon

When the mirror says tired and the diary says why

London does not hand out many lie-ins, and the under-eyes are where that shows first. The shadow cast by a deepening tear trough reads as exhaustion in every meeting and every video call, however much energy is actually behind it. Our Wimbledon doctors treat this area for exactly the clientele you would expect: professionals and commuters who do not have a spare week for recovery and do not want a result anyone can name. A lightweight filler, a fifteen-minute placement, and eyes that stop editorialising about your workload. Your doctors in SW19 are Dr Yasmin Tayeb, Dr Yosra Albeyatti and Dr Hannah Sunley.

A precise under-eye treatment in progress at Wellface Wimbledon

Why eyes read as tired

The culprit is usually geometry rather than sleep. The tear trough, the crease between lower eyelid and upper cheek, deepens as facial fat pads and cheek volume diminish with age, and the deeper the crease, the darker the shadow it casts. Some inherit the hollow young; most acquire it gradually. Either way, what looks like a skin problem is often a support problem, and support is something filler can rebuild. That distinction matters, because it changes the treatment: skincare cannot restore structure, and structure is usually what has gone.

A short, precise treatment

A lightweight hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvéderm Volbella is placed carefully into the trough, restoring lift and fullness and softening the shadow above it. The placement takes five to fifteen minutes inside a 30 to 45 minute appointment, and the experience is relatively painless, with minimal discomfort. It is among the shortest treatments we offer, which suits the diary of everyone who books it. Photographs are taken before and after, so improvement is measured rather than felt.

Results on a schedule

The improvement is visible immediately, then keeps refining for up to four weeks as the filler settles and quietly hydrates the area from within. Any swelling or bruising resolves over roughly two weeks, conveniently before your complimentary review, where your doctor confirms the result against photographs. From there the effect lasts approximately 18 months, which most clients translate as: book it once, forget it for a year and a half. The review with your own doctor is complimentary, as it is with every Wellface treatment.

Suitability comes first

Under-eye filler is a treatment we screen for, not a treatment we sell. Dark circles caused by pigmentation will not lighten with filler; prominent fat pads and very thin skin can make it the wrong tool entirely. Our doctors assess honestly and may suggest alternatives such as polynucleotides where they will serve you better. Expect a plan for your eyes, not a syringe by default; the difference is the whole point of a doctor-led clinic. For under-eyes especially, the assessment genuinely is the treatment decision.

Often planned with cheeks

Because the cheek supports the tear trough from below, mid-face volume loss frequently sits behind the hollow you can see. In those cases pairing the trough with cheek filler, at £435 per syringe, rebuilds the foundation and the crease together, and it is often the pairing that produces the more natural result of the two approaches. Your doctor will map which combination your anatomy actually needs at the consultation, before any pricing conversation begins, and neither is ever added to a plan by default.

Around your working week

This is a treatment designed to disappear into a schedule. The clinic runs until 8pm from Monday to Thursday and until 5pm on Saturdays, the appointment fits inside a lunch hour, and any bruising conceals with makeup while it fades. Add the two-week review and the four-week settling period, and the sensible plan is to book a fortnight before any event that matters. Our concierge team will happily work the dates out with you, and if in doubt, book the consultation first and let the dates follow.

Frequently asked questions

£600 per treatment, with your initial consultation and a two-week review included. If cheek filler is added to the plan, it is £435 per syringe.

The improvement is visible immediately and continues refining for up to four weeks as the filler settles and hydrates the area. The review at two weeks checks everything is on track.

Yes. The Wimbledon clinic is open until 8pm from Monday to Thursday and until 5pm on Saturdays, and the appointment itself takes only 30 to 45 minutes.

At 44 Wimbledon Hill Road, SW19 7PA, a short walk up the hill from Wimbledon station and its National Rail, District line and tram connections.

Only if shadowing from hollowness is the cause. Dark circles from pigmentation will not respond to filler, and your doctor will assess honestly which kind yours are before recommending anything.

No. Prominent fat pads, very thin skin or pigmentation can make filler the wrong tool, in which case alternatives such as polynucleotides may be suggested instead.

Ideally two to four weeks ahead: swelling or bruising resolves over roughly two weeks, and the result continues improving for up to four, so the maths favours booking early.

Approximately 18 months. Most clients book once, attend their review, and then genuinely forget about their under-eyes for the better part of two years.
