Why Medical-Grade Skincare Makes Such a Difference, Whatever Your Skin Type
Why does professional skincare outperform the high street, and why can almost everyone benefit from it? A Wellface doctor explains what medical-grade really means, why ingredient concentration and formulation matter more than a long label, and how a focused routine helps dullness, pigmentation, acne, fine lines and dryness across every age and skin type.

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a lovely weekend or coming to the end of your first self quarantine weekend. A couple of days ago I posted about my skincare regime and I've had a huge amount of private messages that have come through asking what is this range, why do I use it, how do I use it and how is it different from the high street. So usually I would post about any dentally related or aesthetically related treatment and products on my more professional Instagram which is at face and fillers and but I've chosen to do this video on both accounts because everyone can benefit from good skin.
Skin as you all know is the largest organ in our body and it is one of the most important organs that we have. It is our first barrier to fighting anything for our body, it is our first barrier, our first level of protection. If you have a gust of wind those microbes or whatever is flying in the wind is not going to come and attack you internally.
If you are decluttering your fridge and you pick up something which has a little bit of fungus or has expired you're not going to have that fungus going through and attacking your skin cells or going into your bloodstream. And so having good healthy skin is important to act as a good quality barrier and it's important to look after and maintain in the same way we look after our heart. But the other great thing about skin is that when you have good healthy skin it actually shows, not like our internal organs, it shows when you have a lovely glow, it shows when it looks like you've slept well and you look healthy and you don't have any redness, any spots, any areas of pigmentation, you don't have any breakages, you know acne prone areas or areas that are really irritated.
Or dryness, when you want to do a beautiful full face of makeup but you have this level of level of dryness and you put foundation over the top and it just shows, everything shows underneath. So good skin is important for absolutely everyone and I will talk about the range that I use in a second and why I've chosen this range. So this range is called EYN which is everything, it stands for everything you need and it is made by an aesthetics company which is run by doctors and medical healthcare professionals who understand skin, understand the issues that people have with their skin and the different layers of the skin and how we can combat each layer and each issue bit by bit.
What I like about this range is that it has only the ingredients that our skin requires. It is not overloaded and filled up with so many ingredients which will make us more prone to sensitivity or possibly give us a reaction to something. It only has what our skin needs and at the concentration level that is going to penetrate the skin and do its job.
Some high street brands use important ingredients but only at a very small concentration just in order for them to be able to write it on the ingredients at the back but not because it is at a percentage that is actually going to do something. This range, use it within 12 weeks, you use it within 2 weeks and you can definitely see the difference. I have not had a single patient or client who has used this and not been happy or not seen any difference.
So that is my introduction to good skin to have a beautifully glowing skin. What does glowing skin do? It makes you look healthy, makes you look younger, makes you look cleaner as well when you don't have this layer of dry skin or you don't have this mucky, airy, mucky bit on top.
And for younger patients or patients who really like experimenting with makeup and like putting a thick layer of makeup, your makeup sits on really beautifully. You don't have this redness underneath or the dryness that can sit on top of foundation. And for older patients who are not interested in aesthetics or anti-winkle injections or having fillers and so on or dermal fillers or lip augmentation and so on, they still want a pick-me-up.
They would still like to have good skin and look healthier and look younger and reduce any areas of pigmentation they have which is from sun damage or areas of pigmentation from child pregnancies and childbirth. These all can give you areas of pigmentation. So it's really something for everyone.
And this particular range, I have given it to young patients who are very much acne prone and it has really, really benefited them. And I've given it to mums and middle-aged patients who just need something to look fresh and don't want to spend hours doing their makeup to feel confident leaving the house. Using this makes them feel really confident that their skin feels great and they just put a little bit of mascara and they're done.
Within five minutes they're done and ready to go and manage their children. And for the older patients who, like I said, who just want to look fresher and they want something that makes them feel a bit more confident and makes them feel like it's made a difference, which it does. So I'm going to start a new video about the different products.
Okay. Not to bore you all about all six of them. Okay.
