Why SPF 50 Belongs at the End of Every Skincare Routine
Sun protection is the step most people skip and the one that matters most. Here is why a broad-spectrum SPF 50 belongs at the end of your routine every single day, how it guards against ageing and skin cancer, and how to wear it comfortably under makeup.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. Today we are talking about skin protection. So this is SPF 50 which is one of the highest protections you can get for your skin and it has UVA filters and UVB filters.
It is really really important to protect your skin from the sun and sun damage especially when you are putting so much care and effort to having a really good skin care regime and improving the quality of your skin as well. I would say SPF is important really for two main reasons. The first reason for health and the second for aesthetic reasons.
Health reasons most importantly. UV rays can penetrate the skin and cause skin burns and they can cause skin cell damage and the potential of mutations and cancers. So it is really important to protect your skin from any possible health diseases that can take place later on by using a really good layer of protection from those UV rays.
With regards to aesthetic reasons, sun damage is known to be the biggest cause for aging. So sun damage can cause for you to lose that glow, to change the texture of the skin especially when it is burnt and becomes dry. And it can also cause lots of fine lines and wrinkles as well as pigmentation, different colours and so on.
So if you want to maintain a really beautiful healthy glow to your skin it is really really important to be using SPF every single day and definitely get into the habit of it. Every day come rain or shine. So even if it is raining and it is cloudy and you can't see any sign of sunshine, there are still UV rays that are bouncing around and it is really really important to be using SPF.
Ideally SPF 50 that is going to give you the highest protection for your skin. There are lots of different SPFs on the market and lots of them are really really good quality and they do a great job. Some of them have tinted moisturisers in them as well and different colours if you want to get a little bit of a makeup feel to it as well.
I particularly like this one. I have tried lots of different brands, lots of different brands but I particularly like this one because it is really really thin for an SPF 50 and it is not sticky at all. So if you see here it's got a nice glow to it.
It's not too yellow and it's not thick at all. So if I just apply it here on my hand you can see how light it is. It's super light, it's super thin even though it's SPF 50 and it's got a really lovely glide to it.
So if you want to use it without any makeup on top then you've just got a lovely very light shine to the skin which is not changing the colour of your face, it's not acting as a tinted moisturiser. And if you do like to apply makeup to your skin after using the SPF then because it's such a lovely thin texture and it's not sticky even if applying powdered makeup or liquid makeup they both glide on really beautifully and it doesn't get in the way or change the way that you apply your makeup. So that's why I use this product.
It's really comfortable. I use it every single day and I recommend that you find an SPF that you're comfortable with. Ideally SPF 50 with UVA and UVB filters to protect your skin and maintain that lovely youthful healthy glow.
Okay, take care. Bye.
