Why a Vitamin C Serum Deserves a Place in Your Daily Skincare
Vitamin C serum is one of the hardest-working steps in a good skincare routine, brightening dull skin, softening pigmentation and supporting collagen. Here is how it works, what to look for in a formula and how to fit it into your morning regime.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a good week and surviving your week of quarantine and self-isolation. Thank you to all those messages that were sent to me regarding the skincare regime and asking for more information. Today I'm going to talk to you about the next step in the skincare regime, which is the Vitamin C serum.
So this is, again, is from the EYN range, which I use personally, and this is C20. And this serum is Vitamin C and you use it on a clean, dry face. So after you've washed your face and you've dried it, you apply the Vitamin C serum before then later applying your eye cream and the rest of the cream and moisturiser on your face.
Now, this serum, first of all, to talk about its ingredients, it's made up of Vitamin C, Vitamin E and a high concentration of L-ascorbic acid, which is there to maintain the potency and the quality of the Vitamin C. What does Vitamin C do? Why is it so important?
Why do we need it on our skin? So, as we all already know, Vitamin C is really important for our general health. It is there to fight any potential disease and it's there to increase and improve our immune system.
So, Vitamin C serum is really good for your skin as well. You are applying it directly to that first barrier we talked about last time. Your skin is your first barrier to fighting disease and fighting infection.
It is your first layer of protection and this is what Vitamin C does. It is improving that quality, improving that barrier. This product really has, I would say, three main benefits.
The first benefit is Vitamin C acts by absorbing and removing free radicals. And therefore, it is preventing any cell damage and it is promoting health. So, for example, if you have any damaged skin or areas of damage on your face such as sun damage, you know, or even if it's sun damage from five or ten years ago, this product can really help remove those free radicals and improve the quality of that skin, okay, and reduce those areas of damage.
Even if it's something that happened many, many years ago, it can really improve that. The second thing that it's really good at is brightening. Vitamin C is really, really well known for brightening the skin, reducing areas of pigmentation, reducing areas of dark spots, dark circles.
It is really, really beautiful at just making the skin look a lot brighter and giving it, again, that extra little bit of glow. The third thing, which maybe is one of the most important reasons for some people to buy it, is it really promotes youth. Vitamin C is very well documented at promoting the stimulation of collagen in the skin.
And as we all know, collagen is really, really important for keeping a youthful, plump appearance. It makes your skin look youthful. It reduces any fine lines and wrinkles because the skin looks lovely and plump and is not looking aged and, you know, saggy.
So, that is another thing that is very well documented about vitamin C. And those are the three main things why vitamin C is so important and so good for you. The next thing I just want to talk about or just mention is, again, making sure that the product that you buy is of good concentration and good quality.
And I say this because previous to using these products, I would buy anything that was on the market. And it was very thin, very watery, you know, just a little bit, looks a little bit yellow, but didn't actually penetrate the skin or make a difference. This product is a very strong yellow-orange color.
And again, it's a very thick type of serum and it's not oily. But yeah, so that's vitamin C. If you have any questions, please do send me a message and I will explain more if I can.
Okay, thank you so much. Take care. Take care.
Take care. Take care.
