Softening a Gummy Smile with Anti-Wrinkle Injections: How It Works

Good morning everyone. I have this lovely patient in today and I'm showing you the gummy smile and how we treat it. So relax for me darling.

So she's got lovely full lips but when she smiles, give me a lovely full smile. You can see there's a lot of gum showing and for her this is just a little bit too much. Give me a bigger smile that you're really happy to see me.

That's the one. Now this is her real smile when she's really happy and she comes into the clinic obviously. So today we're going to do a little bit of anti-wrinkle injections.

One here to relax the muscle and another one and another one here. So just on the tips of the nose to touch this muscle and actually I do a one in the center which just lifts the tip of the nose up as well so that you don't get a downward nose tip and that helps completely soften and release this muscle so that when she does smile give me a relaxed smile. She'll smile more like this which I'll show you in a couple of weeks instead of the full smile when the lip goes up too high and there's too much gum showing.
