SkinPen Microneedling: How Controlled Micro-Injuries Give Skin Its Glow Back

Skin Pen Microneedling Treatment which is really really gorgeous. It's a lovely organic treatment that will replace the glow in your skin, improve the quality of your skin and it can be used on any part of your body not just on your face. So I have lots of patients who come to see me for stretch marks on their bellies where they have lost weight or post-pregnancy and it is a really really good treatment just to improve the quality of the skin, improve the texture of the skin as well and get that collagen stimulation working.

A little bit more about Skin Pen and why it's such a great microneedling device. So this is Skin Pen and what's great about it is that you have these adjustable microneedling depths. So for example if you are going around the very thin skin around the eyes then you'll use a very low setting of approximately 0.5 millimeters.

If you are doing around the cheek area where the skin is a little bit thicker then you would work your way up from 0.5 millimeters up to a maximum of 1.5 millimeters. If you are doing different parts of the body where the skin is much thicker or scar tissue you're trying to help and improve the texture of stretch marks then you can work your way up from 1.5 to 2 to 2.5 millimeters and that's why it's so lovely that you can tailor the depth of the microneedles to the individual and their actual needs. So inside the Skin Pen kit comes the obviously completely brand new and sealed cartridge and you can see all the numbers there where you can change the micro needling depths.

So that's the brand new Skin Pen tip and then you have these two creams. One which is a really nice very thin sort of gel which is just really good for a little bit of hydration or if the skin is a little bit irritated in the first 24 hours and the second one is a really lovely soothing cream which can be used 24 hours onwards after the procedure.
